Transfer Students

Thank you for your interest in transferring to Saint Mary’s.

To begin the transfer application process for the 2012-2013 school year, please complete the following:

1. Email or fax a copy of your child’s current high school transcript and most recent standardized test scores to Mr. Lawrence Puck, the Director of Admissions at:  FAX (510) 559-6277 or email – lpuck@stmchs.org .

2. Once the Admissions Director has an opportunity to review and evaluate the applicant’s academic information, the family will be contacted with a preliminary assessment as to whether or not the student has completed and earned academic achievement sufficient to qualify them to continue future studies at Saint Mary’s.

3.  If the academic evaluation is positive,the applicant will be asked to complete the online APPLICATION FOR ADMISSION, accessible through our link –  Click here to Apply to Saint Mary’s!

4. Once the online application has been submitted, Saint Mary’s Admissions will arrange a date and time for the applicant to meet with Herman Shum, the Vice-Principal for Student Affairs, or an alternative faculty member. 

5. Completed transfer applications for the fall of 2012 will be considered on a case-by-case basis depending on space availability at the grade level requested. Some transfer applications may qualify for an ‘early decision’.  However, transfer applicants generally will be informed of the admission decision by mail between March – May, 2012, after the incoming freshman admissions process is completed.
