Alumni Board
Purpose: The Alumni Board’s purpose is to support the Mission of the school, its students, and the alumni of Saint Mary’s College High School. The Board will provide opportunities for alumni to re-connect and re-commit to the school and its Mission. The Board is also responsible for nurturing the Lasallian Charism and the tradition and heritage of Saint Mary’s College High School and the Brothers of the Christian Schools.
The Alumni Director will serve as the voice of the school for the Board. The Alumni Director will follow-up with school administration for concerns and issues from the board.
The Alumni Director will provide school support and guidance to each committee. The Director’s role is to assist each committee in keeping all activities true to the Board’s purpose and ensuring that each project is fiscally sound.
Board membership is voluntary. The Director of Alumni, in conjunction with the President of the School, gives final approval of Board membership.
Board Membership is a three-year term limit. Maximum consecutive membership will be two terms. To rejoin the board, an ex-board member must wait a year before requesting to serve again.
Board Structure:
All Board Offices are set for a year term. Each office can be reappointment with the approval of the board, the Director of Alumni, and/or the School President. The voted positions are:
1. Board Chair
2. Vice Chair
3. Secretary
The Alumni Director will ask for nominations for chair, vice-chair, and secretary. The Board will vote from the nominations. Final board vote must be approved by the Alumni Director and the School’s President.
The Alumni Board will be no less than 11 and no more 17.
The Alumni Board will meet quarterly which includes a retreat and planning workshop.
The alumni should not financially profit from the board or the works of the board.

c) Meeting call to order
d) Report from Saint Mary’s Personnel
a. State of the school report
e) Report from the Alumni Director
f) Old Agenda Items
g) Board Committee Reports
h) New Agenda Items for next board meeting
i) Adjournment
Each board member will seek alumni volunteers to fill committees.
The Alumni Board will sponsor a yearly survey for volunteer opportunities and to seek input for the board.
Alumni Project Committees will meet based on need to plan and execute their activity.
