Sophomore Retreat – SERVICE

SERVICE is the sophomore retreat experience at Saint Mary’s College High School, and is part of the Sophomore Excursion program.  As a way that more fully develops the Catholic Christian call to service, sophomores at Saint Mary’s spend time in reflection upon the specific role that service has had in their lives, how the experience of service has challenged them and helped them grow, as well as how they see themselves as people of service throughout the rest of their lives.

The SERVICE retreat is a required one-day retreat experience for all sophomore students at Saint Mary’s; the students are prepared for retreat through their religion classes, and all information, permission slips, and other necessary business is completed therein.  The SERVICE retreat this year will be held at Saint Mary’s College in Moraga.  The current sophomore class, the Class of 2013, will be the 150th graduating class of Saint Mary’s College High School, a history that we share with Saint Mary’s College.

Dates for the SERVICE retreats for the 2010-11 academic year are being held on March 15 & 16, 2011.   For more information on the Sophomore Excursion program, please refer to the web-page specifically dedicated to it in the Academics and Programs Inspired by Mission section.
