Ways to Give

All gifts are vital to the support of Saint Mary’s College High School’s annual, capital, and endowment needs. There are a variety of ways to contribute so that each investor may tailor his or her giving to meet individual preferences while meeting the needs of our students.

  • Gifts of Cash

Most donors find that a personal check is the easiest way to make a gift. These donations are fully tax-deductible and have an immediate impact upon the program for which the funds are allocated. Checks should be made payable to Saint Mary’s College High School and mailed to:

If you would like to make a gift through a Charitable Giving Fund, please note that Saint Mary’s tax ID number is 68-0331088.

  • Pledges

You may make a commitment to Saint Mary’s payable through installments tailored to your desired schedule. This may allow you to give more generously over a period of time than would be possible through a single contribution, thus making a greater difference to Saint Mary’s students.   • Credit/Debit Card Gifts

For your convenience, Saint Mary’s accepts gifts through debit cards as well as Visa and Mastercard. There are two ways to arrange the charge:

    • Online Gift

It’s easy to make an online gift to Saint Mary’s College High School — we accept Visa and Mastercard.

    • Secure Credit Card Processing through Saint Mary’s Advancement Office

Another convenient way to give is by contacting the Advancement Office at 510/559-6238 to establish a one-time gift or a plan for monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, or annual deductions against your Visa or Mastercard, or download a donation form to print.

  • Stocks, Securities and Other Real Property

Gifts of securities or other real property provide immediate support to the school. Donors receive tax deductions based on the fair market value of the property at the time of the gift and avoid capital gains tax on appreciated property. For your convenience, you may download a Stock Transfer Form and please be sure to notify the Advancement Office at 510/559-6224 or pboero@stmchs.org

  • Matching Gifts

A matching gift program is a corporate sponsored benefit that can double or even triple an employee’s gift to Saint Mary’s by matching his or her contribution. Check with your human resources office to find out if your company has a matching gift program. If your gift qualifies, please obtain a matching gift form from your employer to send along with your contribution. For your convenience, Saint Mary’s tax ID number is 68-0331088.

  • Gifts In-kind

Donations of goods or commodities relevant to our educational program are welcome. Items will be gladly accepted if they can be put to good use and provide clear benefits to the school. Each year individuals and businesses donate a variety of non-cash gifts to Saint Mary’s that include electrical / building supplies, office furniture, books, athletic equipment, current model computer equipment, food and beverages for events, and professional services.

  • Vehicle Donation

Saint Mary’s has the capability to accept donations of vehicles for resale with the proceeds to benefit Saint Mary’s students.

  • Bequests & Planned Gifts

Remember Saint Mary’s College High School in your will or trust and create a lasting legacy at the school. Bequests may include an estate, a percentage of an estate or a specific cash amount. If you have already included Saint Mary’s in your estate plans, please let us know so that we may honor you as a Saint Mary’s Legacy member.

  • Memorial/Tribute Gifts

Saint Mary’s gratefully recognizes gifts made in memory of or in honor of a friend, family or faculty member, or to acknowledge a birthday, graduation, anniversary, or other significant event. The names of those remembered with a memorial gift will be entered in the Brothers Intentions Book and offered in the Brothers daily prayers.

  • eScrip

Support Saint Mary’s while you shop! Joining eScrip is a gift that costs nothing yet will continue to increase resources to the Annual Fund all year long!

Registering for eScrip is easy:

  • Log onto www.escrip.com and go to “sign up”
  • Designate Saint Mary’s (#138057133) to receive your contributions
  • Register your debit and credit cards as well as grocery club card
  • Or if you prefer, contact Joanne Howe at 510/ 559-6227 or jhowe@stmchs.org to register you for eScrip.
