Academic Information

Our challenging college preparatory curriculum provides Saint Mary’s students with the knowledge and skills needed for success in post-secondary studies. Throughout the curriculum, critical thinking, analytic research, and life skills are developed – skills that are important for a student’s intellectual and moral growth.

Inspired by our dedicated faculty, students take an active role in their own education. Students are taught to think, reason, and derive meaningful outcomes by asking questions, seeking answers, discussing possibilities, and critically evaluating options. Students are supported by their teachers through lectures, seminars, project and skill-based based learning, and technology.

Students are provided additional opportunities to further their academic commitment by participating in our Advanced Placement Program. Our comprehensive AP program includes more than 78% of our upper division students. Over 70% of the students in this program pass the AP Exams with a score of 3 or higher.
