The Panther Library provides a wide array of learning resources to support the curricular needs of Saint Mary's College High School. The collection consists of more than 8000 current books of literature and nonfiction, 400 videos; 1500 lp records; 45 newspaper & magazine subscriptions; a host of CD's, audio-cassettes, CD-ROMs, 35mm slides, audio books; and finally 20 subscription databases with access to millions of full-text documents.

LIBRARY PROGRAMS
"Movie Tuesdays" the library shows movies from its collection, often in coordination with events on campus.
"Music Fridays" the library plays music from its large collection to send students off for the weekend.
"The Panther Book Club" meets once a month to discuss the book of the month. Books are selected by the students in the group.
"Saint Mary's Visiting
Speakers" the library strives to host local authors, musicians and artists to
come and speak to students about their work.
"Picturing America" the library is the proud recipient of American Art Posters
from the National Endowment of the Humanities.
READY REFERENCE
Materials on reserve are kept at the Circulation Desk. Upon presentation of a student ID, students may use textbooks (from any class), yearbooks (back to 1986), student newspapers and literary magazines (back to 2000) and an extensive special collection of materials on Saint John Baptist de La Salle in addition to general school publications.
ONLINE DATABASE REFERENCE SITES
Through Saint Mary's subscription to online databases, students have access to millions of full-text articles. Online access is available to the following databases: Student Resource Center-Gold, Opposing Viewpoints Resource Center, Biography Resource Center, US History Resource Center, World History Resource Center, Literature Resource Center, The Health and Wellness Resource Center, and Scribner Writers Series
