- Canada
- Southeastern United States
A couple great places close to home where I go when I want to feel like I’ve been away:

- Oakland Skyline Hills (horses!)
- My sister’s in Visalia.
Travel plans or hopes for Summer 2008: My backyard for beautification projects; maybe get a dog!

Book, films, and more that can take you on a summer adventure without leaving home:
- Rick Steve’s “Europe through the Back Door” on PBS

Did You Know? Want to go fishing this summer? Be sure to check permit requirements.
- The Berkeley Marina, Lake Anza, Lake Temescal, Lake Chabot, Point Pinole Pier, San Pablo Reservoir. For an enjoyable fish dinner right on the water, try the old Nantucket Restaurant under the Carquinez Bridge in Crockett where the bay becomes the Carquinez Straits.
