CAL Concession Booths Help Saint Mary's - Help is Needed!

Help is needed at the Saint Mary's Concession Booth for this Saturday's opening game against Michigan State. We need 15 committed adult and student volunteers for this first game. Please remember that no one can work under 16 years of age can work behind the conssions stand.

Here is what you need to know:

Game Time: 5:00pm, but booth volunteers need to be there at 12:30 for inventory and set-up;
15 people are needed for booth staff requirement;
Uniform is black pants, white polo, tennis shoes - no exceptions or we are docked money;
Need cashiers, some counter help, some cooks, "runners";

Money from supporting the booth benefits the SMCHS Athletic Department;
The game will be busy. It is sold out!

Please remember that we need committed volunteers, we are dinged $50.00 per person that aren't within the 15 that Cal Requires man (or woman) the booth.

Senior & Junior Parking

Dear Junior & Senior Parents,

I want to inform you of a policy change that we have made to student parking in our neighborhood. The change stems from our efforts to reduce the parking and traffic impacts within the school neighborhood. >

As a result, students are no longer allowed to park on Hopkins Street, Gilman Avenue, Action Street, Sonoma Avenue, Beverly Place, and Carlotta Avenue. These areas are an addition to the list of areas that have been deemed “off-limits” to student parking. Please see the attached pdf map for more information.

Students who were planning to park on the restricted streets will have to apply for a parking permit or make other arrangements. Parking permits are currently available to those who carpool other students to school. A copy of the parking permit application is attached with this email.

Freshman Drop-Off Zone

Dear Freshman Parents / Guardians,

I hope that you and your family have had an enjoyable summer.

In preparation for the beginning of the school year, we want to remind you that if you drive your son or daughter to school, please drop them off at the Freshman Drop-off Zone located on Monterey Avenue .

There are two drop-off zones located on the west and east side of Monterey Avenue. The west side zone is located in front of the school’s Monterey gate entrance, approximately 50 yards from Hopkins Street. The east side zone is located on the corner of Monterey and Hopkins.

As the freshmen enter the Monterey Avenue gate each morning, they will be checked-off by student workers. Please click here to download a PDF attachment of a map showing the Freshman Drop-off Zone on Monterey Avenue.

We believe that having the Freshman Drop-off Zone located on Monterey Avenue will help distribute school traffic and alleviate congestion at Posen Street and Albina Avenue.

Bookstore Information

Now that MBS Direct is our school’s official online bookstore, we want you to know what to expect. First, ordering your textbooks will be simple and straightforward. The MBS Direct online bookstore is organized according to class names and will provide you with real-time inventory when ordering.

Just ensure that you have the appropriate book with the correct edition and ISBN number. The school's booklist will be available to review on the school's and MBS Direct website on July 1st. In addition, if you should have any questions, MBS Direct operates a U.S. based customer service center available 7 days a week.
