Lasallian Days – The Freshman Experience Class of 2021

Faith, Service & Community

 Fall Term – October 5 & 6

Winter Term – January 25 & 26

Spring Term – April 19 & 20

 The Freshman Experience is a 3-day program that offers students the opportunity to experience first-hand the three pillars of Saint Mary’s College High School:  Faith, Service, and Community.  The program includes a day celebrating Faith, in an on-campus retreat, a chance to build Community at Mont La Salle in Napa, and participation in local community Service

Each day, the freshmen will be with a different group of classmates. The purpose of this program is to build community within the freshman class as well as with faculty members outside of the traditional classroom setting. Lasallian Days are school days – attendance is mandatory.

 Important Details for Lasallian Day Activities:

Transportation:  Chartered Bus for all off-campus activities

Departure TimesThe times listed below are departure times; students are expected to be present on campus and ready to leave at the time listed below.

Dress Code:   School Dress Code enforced; Students should wear closed-toed shoes.

During each off-campus activity during the school year, Biology Field Work, Academy of Sciences and Marine Mammal Center all students are required to wear something that identifies them as a Saint Mary’s student – a Saint Mary’s polo shirt, sweatshirt or class t-shirt.


Fall Term Lasallian Days – October 5 & 6

These activities are scheduled during our Fall Lasallian Day:

Community Service Day – Biology Field Work                  

Time & Location: 8:00 am – 2:00 pm; Meet in the Gym

Lunch: Bring bag lunch – AND bottled water & sunscreen

Community Day at Mont La Salle, Napa    

This day focuses on our freshman gaining a greater understanding of the Lasallian Mission. Student leaders will facilitate a 6-week check-in with the 9th graders.

Time & Location: 8:00 am – 3:00 pm; Meet in the Gym

Lunch: Provided by Saint Mary’s


Winter Term Lasallian DaysJanuary 25 & 26

Spring Term Lasallian DaysApril 19 & 20

Students will participate in a SEL session in both the Winter & Spring Term and go to the Marine Mammal Center during one of the terms and the Academy of Sciences in the other term.

Marine Mammal Center at Marin Headlands

Time & Location: 9:00 am – 2:30 pm; Meet in the Gym

Lunch: Bring bag lunch (NO food available for purchase) – AND bottled water & sunscreen

Museum Visit to the Academy of Sciences in San Francisco

Time & Location: 9:00 am – 2:30 pm; Meet in the Gym

Lunch: Bring bag lunch

Social-Emotional Workshop (SEL) #1 & #2 with the Counselors

Time & Location: 9:00 am – 1:00 pm; On-Campus Workshop – Meet in Frates 323-325

Lunch: Bring bag lunch – limited food service available on campus
