For Frank Brady ’52, Saint Mary’s College High School has always been more than an alma mater kaufvertrag für garten kostenlos downloaden. It’s an institution with which he has been connected to for more than 50 years — as a student, an alumnus, and as a staff member. Frank experienced the care and concern that the Brothers had for him and his classmates — from the thoughtfulness of Brother Ralph, who invited boarding students to his mother’s house to do their laundry, to the generosity of Brother Edwin and Brother Matthew, who waived tuition for one of Frank’s classmates whose father had died during the student’s senior year wie kann ich netflix filme downloaden.
In recognition for the many gifts he received from Saint Mary’s and the life long relationships formed, Frank has included the school in his estate plans app as apk. “The Brothers took care of us, especially those in need,” he explains. “I want to do my part in making sure that same care and concern the Brothers extended to us remains a hallmark of Saint Mary’s for years to come.”
That huge smile was surpassed only by his heart. Coach Dan Shaughnessy ’53 remembers Larry as “a kid who never let anything bother him. No matter how hard he got hit, he would bounce up with a grin on his face.”
Larry carried that attitude with him while serving in the Marine Corps, throughout his business career and after the sudden death of his wife why can I only reading samples. He contracted hepatitis C during his military duty and succumbed to the disease in October 2008.
Larry returned to Saint Mary’s for the final time during the summer of 2008. While here he came upon the last remnant of De la Salle Hall, a brick pillar at the head of the pathway to Monterey Avenue. He spontaneously offered to pay for its preservation. While not extremely wealthy, Larry included Saint Mary’s in his estate plans with a $50,000 bequest. Rudy DeCaminada ’70, passed away on December 1, 2010. He is best remembered by his life long friends and classmates for his generosity and kindness iclud herunterladen.
While a student at Saint Mary’s, Rudy was a member of the Honor Society, Circle SM and served as Student Body Vice President his senior year. His love of Saint Mary’s and his deep appreciation of his four years at Peralta Park led Rudy to include his alma mater in his estate plans pia downloaden. He did so by naming Saint Mary’s as a co-beneficiary of his retirement plan.
Rudy’s gift will be designated to help fund a new instrumental music, choral and dance classroom facility planned for the near future. While Rudy’s name will appear on a plaque listing all major donors to the project, more importantly, his foresight and generosity will impact the lives of students for generations to come herunterladen.
Saint Mary’s is grateful and honored to include Rudy DeCaminada among our Legacy donors. He left us far too early but he will remain with Saint Mary’s and her students forever.
