The English Teacher at Saint Mary’s College High School is a mission-driven educator responsible for delivering a rigorous college-preparatory English curriculum, with a focus on composition and close reading. The teacher fosters critical thinking, inquiry-based analysis, and the craft of writing through a curriculum that includes novels, short stories, plays, and poetry, all of which reflect a wide variety of genres and perspectives.

Reporting to the Dean of Academics and working closely with department chairs and colleagues, the teacher supports high academic standards and contributes to a strong academic program. The teacher carries a full course load and creates a student-centered classroom environment grounded in instructional excellence and student learning.
