Ministry

The Lasallian Catholic tradition and mission of Saint Mary’s College High School is the origin of the Ministry Program. Spiritual development and maturation is at the center of our activities. In a unique way, the Ministry Program attends to the spiritual environment of the school community so as to support our community members’ individual and communal growth towards an engaged life of faith, service, and community.

Inspired by the message of Jesus Christ, as found within the Gospels, and the inspiration of our Lasallian Heritage, our programs are developed with our diverse community in mind. All members of the Saint Mary’s community are invited to deepen their relationship with God and journey further in faith from whatever spiritual point of origin they find themselves.

Student Life & Student Activities

The purpose of Saint Mary’s Student Life Program is to provide a structure guided by Lasallian values which students attending Saint Mary’s College High School will work together with the school’s administration, faculty, and staff to provide programs for students and the school community that emphasize Saint Mary’s Learning Outcomes (LEO’s) and Lasallian Core Principles.

The Student Activities program at Saint Mary’s plays a vital role in building community, school spirit, and pride by offering meaningful opportunities for students to connect with one another. Through campus-wide events such as dances, socials, movie nights, and spirit rallies, students form bonds beyond the classroom and strengthen connections across grade levels. For students and by students, our unique programming is accessible, creative, and provides opportunities for all students to participate fully. Our clubs are intentionally designed and faculty- and staff-moderated, fostering meaningful relationships between students and the wider Saint Mary’s community. Guided by the Lasallian Core Principles of Inclusive Community and Respect for All Persons, Student Activities cultivates leadership skills while enriching the overall student experience. By centering joy, connection, and growth, the program ensures that every student feels seen, valued, and an essential part of the Saint Mary’s community.

The school lives its Lasallian Catholic mission by encouraging students to combine academic growth with spiritual development and social responsibility. Through service-learning projects, retreats, and immersion experiences, students gain opportunities to connect with others and reflect on issues of justice and equity, both locally and globally. The Lasallian Capstone program, in particular, engages students in leadership, collaboration, and community outreach. Overall, the Lasallian programs at Saint Mary’s create an environment where students integrate the school’s values and activities to prepare them to pursue a life of virtue, scholarship, and service.
