Eighth Grade Students are invited to participate in a campus visit to Saint Mary's College High School.
The Campus Visit Program offers classroom observation* and a campus tour to prospective eighth grade students (*No classroom observation this year due to Covid). These visits are done in small groups and offer interested students a chance to explore and experience what a typical morning looks and feels like at Saint Mary's College High School. The campus visit will also provide students with the opportunity to talk to teachers inside the classroom (will be empty to keep our current students safe). There will also be a Q&A regarding the high school application process.
Lunch will be provided by Saint Mary's. If your child has any dietary restrictions, please send an appropriate lunch with them on this day.
During the Student Campus Visit Program parents can visit the campus on the same day their child is visiting. The parent visit programs includes:
♦ A Presentation and Conversation with the Admissions Director
♦ Campus Tour
♦ Lunch courtesy of the Admissions Office
♦ Join in the Presentation by the Admissions Director to the Students
Saint Mary’s must continue to follow Covid mandates and protocol, therefore there will be no classroom observations. Instead, eighth grade students will be able to meet with multiple teachers and enter their classrooms without any current students present. This will still allow for the opportunity to talk to our faculty and observe what a typical classroom looks like, as well as, a student panel (during lunch time) for prospective students to engage with current Saint Mary’s students.
Families are also invited to attend our OPEN HOUSE on SUNDAY, DECEMBER 5, 2021 at 1PM
The schedule for an in-person Campus Visit is:
8:45 AM: Arrive at Saint Mary's and check-in outside the Library
9:00 - 9:40 AM: Information session with the Director of Admissions
9:45 - 10:55 AM: Eighth graders will be paired up with a Saint Mary’s student in small groups to tour the campus and participate in conversations with some of the teachers
11:00 - 11:40 AM: Lunch and Q&A with Saint Mary’s students
11:40-11:45 AM: Final goodbye as visit is concluded
Families may pick up their child in front of the library.
The schedule for virtual Campus Visit is:
45-50 minute interactive presentation over Zoom
DECEMBER 05, 2021: OPEN HOUSE BEGINS AT 1:00 PM
This is the opportunity for 6th, 7th, and 8th grade families to meet the administration, faculty, coaches, staff, parents, and students. Reservations are required. All are welcome.
