Last Saturday, April 26th we hosted the class of 1965 here on Peralta Park. They came in from all over the United States to celebrate their 60th Reunion! We had over 40 people attend this amazing afternoon as some folks have not seen each other in over 25 years. The bond this class had and still has is truly incredible. We started the afternoon talking and laughing, then singing the Bells of Saint Mary's before enjoying lunch, and concluded with a tour of a much changed campus since 1965. The guys and their spouses truly enjoyed wondering the campus, visiting the Chapel, Gym and Brady Park. I was inspired by their passion for Saint Mary's that still drives this class today, as they continue their tradition of giving back through their 1965 Scholarship fund. We look forward to seeing everyone in another 5 years!!

During Lasallian days the Juniors and Seniors, who are not on retreat, get to experience Career Day which is a Saint Mary's tradition of bringing back Alums who talk about their experiences after high school and what led them to their current Careers. It is a great opportunity for our current students to ask questions to people who sat in their same shoes years ago. This year we had 7 amazing Alums ranging from the class of 1986 up to the class of 2011, from entrepreneurs, tech industry workers, doctors, influencers and designers. We are so appreciative that they are able to give back to the current community and the kids were very engaged and learned a lot.

For the 3rd year in a row we hosted a Casino Night Fundraiser here in the Shea Student Life Center. This year we added Casino War and a DJ! Although the crowd was small the action was mighty. We had 3 big winners who walked home with a brand new TV, cash prize and a gift card. As the evening went on the action got more intense and the roars could be heard from the parking lot as players winnings began to add up. Overall it was a great evening with and we hope to see many more people in the crowd and at the tables next year.
