Varsity Boys Golf (2023)

Panthers Sensational Season Concludes at Foxtail Golf Course

Monday, May 15—On a long day at the Foxtail Golf Club in Rohnert Park, California, the Varsity Boys Golf team participated in the North Coast Section Division I Championship Event with aspirations to qualify for the NorCal Championships. However, with the Panthers needing to finish within the top 3 out of all the participating schools, the Panthers would unfortunately come up just short of a top-3 finish as they would place 5th out of 21 schools, shooting a strong overall score of 395.

Our Panthers were led by the sensational senior duo or Marlon Jones’s and Neal Lavelle who shot 75 and 76 respectively. The future looks bright as freshman phenom Micah Lenton also carded a score of 76. Even though the Panthers came up short in achieving their goals for a NorCal and State Championship run, we celebrate our golfers as they went undefeated in match play and completed the season with a spectacular 58-8 record. Great job Panthers!

Panthers Repeat as TCAL CHAMPS!

Congratulations on back-to-back championship seasons Panthers. We celebrate the golfers and wish for continued success as they pursue the CIF-North Coast Section title.

Panthers Celebrate Senior Day With Victory Over College Prep

SG

April 24, 2023—On a

beautiful afternoon at the Tilden Park Golf Course, the Varsity Boys Golf Team hosted the College Preparatory Cougars in their Senior Day match. Prior to the start of the match, the Panthers honored two of their Seniors for their dedication and commitment to the Boys Golf program—Neal Lavelle and Marlon Jones. It was a wonderful celebration recognizing these two golfers for all their effort and hard work over the last four seasons. In fact, over the last two seasons, Lavelle and Jones have been instrumental in leading the Panthers to an incredible 25-0 individual match record.

Once the match got underway, the Senior Day celebration kept on going as the Panthers would go on to defeat the Cougars by the score of 145-160. The Senior duo of Lavelle of Jones would both go on to shot 1-over par for the round, Junior Robert “Sebbi” Frankenberg would post a score of a 39, and Freshman standout, Micah Lenton, would shoot the best score of the round with a 1-under par 34. This was an excellent showing on Senior Day as Lavelle and Jones’ match record now stand at 26 in a row.
